Our Story: Built by Dog Lovers, for Dog Lovers
Dog Parks Near Me wasn’t started in a boardroom; it was started in a muddy field with a reactive Labrador called Magic.
Where it All Began
Five years ago, our founder—a freelance web developer and devoted dog owner faced a common challenge. Walking a reactive dog in public spaces was a constant source of stress, filled with unpredictable encounters and “on-lead” frustrations.
We knew that secure dog fields were the answer, but finding them was another story.
The information online was scattered, outdated, and difficult to navigate.
Drawing on years of web development experience and a passion for canine welfare, we decided to build the solution ourselves.
What started as a personal hobby project to help one Labrador find a safe place to run has grown into the one of the most comprehensive directories in the UK for secure dog walking.
Despite our growth, our core values remain the same:
Always Free to Use:
We believe that finding a safe space for your dog shouldn’t come with a price tag. Our directory and interactive map are, and always will be, free for dog owners to use.
Professional Quality: Leveraging our background as a freelance web company, we’ve built a platform that is fast, mobile-friendly, and easy to navigate—even when you’re out on a walk.
Community Focused: We aren’t a faceless corporation. We are a small team that understands the specific needs of reactive, nervous, and high-energy dogs because we’ve lived it.
Why We Do It
We know the relief of finally unhooking the lead and watching your dog sprint with pure joy, knowing they are 100% safe. We want to make that feeling accessible to every owner in the UK.
By providing a comprehensive, interactive map of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, we help you skip the “google search stress” and get straight to the exercise.
